Week 5 - maybe

I haven't been to the doctor yet, but we think our due date is around 8/30/09 which makes us 5 weeks.

Week 5
Your baby's heart will begin to beat this week! It's amazing how much is happening so quickly. A transvaginal ultrasound will show about 90% of the yolk sacs. It is now possible to differentiate between the head and the tail of your baby now. By the end of the week that folic acid will be paying off as the neural folds begin to fuse. We're Pregnant!!!!

Yes, today, Dec. 23 after I got off work I took a pregnancy test. I had to talk myself into taking one because I was worried it would be negative. It wasn't! Yesterday I took a test and it had a very faint positive so I went to the store and bought 2 e.p.t. tests and it was not pregnant.

But today it was positive. I took another one 15 minutes later and again - positive. I surprised my husband with an early Christmas gift telling him he had to open it today because it wouldn't make sense to wait. When he opened it he had the biggest smile and kept saying "Are you serious?" Also in the gift was a USC gamecock pacifier and a onesie with his business printed on it. To say we are so excited is an understatement. We are ecstatic.

Tonight we just happened to have reservations at a nice restaurant, which was perfect timing. Today was a great day.
